    ABOUT DTTE AND TRAINING SCHEMES OFFERED BY DEPARTMENT

    Directorate of Training and Technical Education is entrusted with the responsibility of providing trained technical manpower for the technological up gradation of industrial production, services, productivity and innovation, contributing to the planned growth of the country’s economy. With a view to achieving the above objective, Department strives for systematic planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and policies relating to technical/vocational education.

    Under DTTE there are 19 nos. Government ITIs and 36 private ITI’s offer various certificate and short term courses under various government schemes.

    During current online admission the seats are being offered under CTS and DST schemes. Their details are as given below:-

     CRAFTSMEN TRAINING SCHEME (CTS)

     11552 seats under 14 sectors are being offered in 53 nos of trades are being offered under CTS regular mode .

     The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced by the Government of India in year 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades through the vast network of ITIs spread over various States / Union Territories in the country.

    The restructured CTS courses are of 1200 hrs/year learning hours and 150 Hrs/year of On Job Training/Group Project and optional 240 hrs/year of add on/short term/Language courses.

     Every year 150 hours of mandatory OJT (On the Job Training) at nearby industry, wherever not available then group project is mandatory.

    Vocational Training is a concurrent subject of both Central and State Governments so the below mentioned bodies are formed at National and state level respectively: –

    1. National Council of Vocational Training: They look after the development of training schemes at National level, the evolution of policy, laying of training standard, norms, conducting of examinations, certification, etc. are the responsibilities of the central government.

    The trades whose syllabus is designed by NCVT are called NCVT designated trades. All trades offered in current admission except commercial art and textile designing are NCVT designated trades. For NCVT Designated trades same syllabus is followed in all states and U.T.‟s (nationally). NCVT Designated trade may be affiliated from NCVT (National Level body) or from SCVT (State Level body) as per affiliation status of trade at individual ITI level. 

    1. State Council of Vocational Training: They look after the development of training schemes at State level, the evolution of policy, lying of training standard, norms, conducting of examinations, certification, etc. The day to day administration including an admission in ITIs rests with the respective State Governments / UTs. The Trades whose syllabus is prepared/made by SCVT are called SCVT Designated trades. They are usually State specific. In current admission two SCVT designated trades are being offered. Their affiliation is from SCVT (State Level body). Their details are as given below.
    1. Commercial Art: This course/Trade is being offered at ITI, Pusa and ITI, Malviya
    2. Textile Designing: This course/Trade is being offered at Jija Bai ITI Siri

    Dual System of Training (DST)

    Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship has implemented the scheme named “Dual System of Training” (DST) w.e.f. August 2016.

    In current admission 192 nos of seats ,Two trades as given below are being offered under DST mode i.e.

    1. Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technician-DST: This course/Trade is being offered at ITI Pusa, ITI SCVR Dheerpur, ITI Jail Road, ITI Jahangir Puri, ITI Nand Nagri, and ITI Narela.
    2. Tool and Die (Press tools Jigs and Fixtures) – DST: This course/Trade is being offered at ITI AKS,.

    Objective of DST scheme is to enable industries and establishments to partner with Government and Private ITIs for conducting training programmes under high employability courses so as to fulfil their skilled manpower requirements.

    The DST is an amalgamation of theoretical training imparted through ITIs and practical training imparted through the Industry. DST helps enable Industry linkages and provide hands on experience to students on industries latest/ updated technologies.

    Under the DST scheme, the courses are conducted to meet the skilled workforce requirements of Industry so that after completion of training, the trainee who are awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC) under the scheme have an edge over regular ITI pass outs in terms of employability and employment opportunities in Industry.

    With the vision of strengthening Industry linkages and acquainting students in ITIs with latest technologies used in the Industry, DGT encourages ITIs to participate in the DST program so that these ITI trainees are Industry ready.

     Documents required at the time of  registration

    Scanned copy of following original documents in PDF format and recent photograph in jpg format must be uploaded at the time of registration. Size of the PDF documents must be greater than 50 kb and less than 200 kb. The documents have to be uploaded as color scan of original document only and should have to be legible. Scan of copy/photo copy of the document will not be accepted.

    Qualifying Certificate:

      1. 10thClass mark Sheet &/or Certificate showing complete details of All subjects (Including fail and absent subjects), maximum marks/grades, Marks/grades obtained, conversion factor for grades, fail/pass and other applicable details like D.O.B., School State.
      2. 8th Class certificate&/or Mark Sheet showing complete details of All subjects (Including fail and absent subjects), maximum marks/grades, Marks/grades obtained, conversion factor for grades, fail/pass and other applicable details.(If 8th class marks are not filled by candidates then his/her 8th class rank would be prepared based on 10th class marks)
      3. Category Certificate (If Applicable): Valid SC/ST/OBC+NCL/EWS certificate in PDF format needs to be uploaded. (If applicable).
      4. Sub Category Certificate (If Applicable): J&K, NCC, Defense Personnel, Divyang (PWbD), Minority, Staff Ward, Delhi Government Employee in PDF format needs to be uploaded. (If applicable).
      5. Certificate from Delhi Government registered orphanage.(If applicable).
    1. Certificate from BDO regarding both school and residence of candidate located in rural area of Delhi. (If Applicable).

    Photograph

    Scanned image of color photograph in jpg/jpeg format needs to be uploaded. Size of the photo image must be greater than 20 kb and less than 50 kb and Dimension of the photograph image should be 5.5 cm (width) x 7.5 cm (Height) only. The photograph should clearly show face of the candidate in Center and Both Ears should be clearly seen. No Mask, Cap etc should be worn in the photograph.

    Instrument for payment of Registration Fee

    Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking/UPI may be used for making payment of Registration fee of Rs 200/- Plus Transaction charges at the time of registration.

    DRESS CODE

    ITI follows specific dress codes given below for trainees. After admission the trainee  shall get two sets of prescribed uniform stitched within seven days from the day of  reporting at admitted institute positively and shall wear the same daily right from my residence & till reaching back to the residence.
